Rendezvous for Kids Dates: July 17 and 18, 2008 Rendezvous for Kids, a 2-day arts festival for children established in 1992, is part of Rendezvous in Moscow, Inc. and occurs annually in conjunction with Rendezvous in the Park, a 4-day concert series.  Rendezvous for Kids and Rendezvous in the Park take place in Moscow's beautiful East City Park. During Rendezvous for Kids, approximately 100 pre-registered children (5-12 years of age) and 40 volunteers convene at 9:00 a.m. each morning and participate in a variety of arts workshops; a t-shirt, lunch and a lunch-time performance are also included in the day's activities. Registration fees are $25/child for both days or $15/child for one day. Scholarships are available (just ask!). A pre-school program is provided for children 3-4 years old accompanied by a parent. This program costs $10/child/day. The pre-school program runs from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Children not registered in Rendezvous for Kids' main program or preschool program are encouraged to join us in the Park and experience smaller hands-on "Art Stops."  On-site registration for this program is available in the Park from 9:00 a.m. to noon each day and costs $10/child. Walk-on registrants do not recieve a t-shirt, lunch, nor may they particpate in the 45-minute art workshops. Rendezvous for Kids offers children an opportunity to experience myriad artistic disciplines including music, drama, tie-dye, dance, painting, and more.  All arts workshops are designed to be age appropriate and represent culturally diverse artistic media and genre.  Furthermore, no child is ever excluded due to financial or physical challenge.
